CLX Code of Conduct
1. Purpose
All participants in the CLX competitive ecosystem—including players, coaches, managers, team staff, community organizers, and officials—are required to adhere to the highest standards of fair play, respect, sportsmanship, and professionalism. Your behavior reflects not only on you, but on your team and the League. Your actions carry increased visibility and responsibility in these competitive arenas.
2. Core Principles
All participants must uphold the following values:
- Integrity: Compete honestly, without cheating or exploitation
- Respect: Treat all individuals with dignity, regardless of background or skill level
- Fair Play: Follow both the letter and spirit of the rules at all times
- Professionalism: Represent yourself and your team in a responsible manner
- Accountability: Accept responsibility for your actions and words
3. Expected Behavior
3.1 In-Game Behavior
- Compete to the best of your ability at all times
- No cheating, scripting, macros, exploits, or use of unauthorized third-party software or hardware
- No stream sniping, ghosting, or attempting to spectate your own match
- No intentional feeding, intentional disconnects, or other unsportsmanlike conduct
- Report bugs or exploits to officials rather than using them for advantage
3.2 Communication & Public Behavior
Players are representatives of both their team and the competitive ecosystem. The following is expected at all times:
- Respectful communication in all official chats, lobbies, and team interactions
- No hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or other discriminatory language
- No harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or targeted insults toward any participant, official, or staff
- No inflammatory or toxic behavior during live streams, broadcasts, or interviews
- Keep public and private communication respectful and constructive
- No leaking internal match information, roster moves, or disciplinary matters prior to official statements
- Avoid inflammatory or offensive remarks that could reflect poorly on the League
- Do not incite violence, harassment, or spread misinformation
3.3 Team & League Interactions
Your interactions with other members of CLX reflect on the League and your team. Banter should never progress beyond good-natured fun. If a statement could be misinterpreted as rule-breaking—even as a joke—don’t say it.
Acceptable interactions include:
- Good-natured competitive banter that is clearly lighthearted
- Respectful discussion about gameplay, strategies, or results
- Professional coordination for matches and events
Unacceptable interactions include:
- Any comments—even joking ones—that could be interpreted as collusion, match-fixing, or rule violations
- Statements that could undermine competitive integrity, regardless of intent
- Personal attacks disguised as “banter” or “jokes”
- Any communication that, if made public, would reflect poorly on you, your team, or CLX
All participants must:
- Respect League Staff decisions, Referees, and other Officials
- Be punctual and professional in all League-mandated activities
- Cooperate fully with investigations or rule enforcement processes
- Avoid any communication with members of other teams that suggests collusion, match manipulation, or strategic coordination—even as jokes or sarcasm
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly forbidden. Comments and conversations regarding ANY of the below prohibited conduct will be taken at face value. There is no room for jokes about these actions in CLX:
4.1 Cheating & Match Integrity
- Boosting or account sharing
- Impersonating another player or playing under a false name
- Using third-party tools, exploits, or unauthorized hardware/software
- Modifying the game client or playing on unofficial clients
- Stream sniping, ghosting, or obtaining information not normally available through the game client
- Match manipulation, including collusion, throwing, signal-sharing, or intentionally altering results
- Influencing tournament outcomes through any means other than legitimate gameplay
- Providing or seeking match advice during play (except in team tournaments with explicit team communication allowances)
- Attempting to damage or alter equipment to trigger delays or gain advantage
- DDoS attacks or any attempt to interfere with another player’s connection
4.2 Gambling & Betting
- Participating in, facilitating, or promoting unlicensed or informal gambling related to CLX matches
- Private wagers or group bets on matches
- Sharing insider or non-public match information to influence bets or gambling outcomes
4.3 Personal Conduct
- Doxxing or leaking private information
- Physical or verbal threats toward any person
- Sexual assault and other sexual offenses
- Illegal possession or distribution of weapons
- Possession, use, or distribution of performance-enhancing substances
- Conduct that poses danger to the safety of others
- Theft and other property crimes
- Crimes involving dishonesty
- Lying to or omitting information from tournament officials
4.4 Platform & Terms Violations
- Violation of platform or CLX terms of service
- Any activity that brings participants into public disrepute or reflects badly on CLX
- Affiliation with individuals, entities, or brands detrimental to CLX’s image or reputation
5. Anti-Harassment & Inclusivity
CLX is committed to providing a competitive environment that is free of harassment and discrimination. Participants are prohibited from engaging in any form of harassment or discrimination (either in-game or outside the game), including that based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, or any other protected class or characteristic.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all participants feel welcome and valued. These standards apply both in and out of competition, including public broadcasts and social platforms.
6. Enforcement & Discipline
6.1 Disciplinary Actions
Violations may result in the following disciplinary actions, depending on severity and context:
- Warnings
- Match or round forfeiture
- Point deductions and nullifications
- Tournament disqualification (DQ)
- Temporary or permanent player bans
- Forfeiture of prizes or earnings
- Suspension from future events
6.2 Investigation Process
- Incidents will be reviewed by the CLX administration team
- Investigations shall not be conducted by tournament participants
- Players or teams will be notified and given the opportunity to respond
- Reports will be investigated promptly, fairly, and confidentially where possible
- Sanctions will be published via official notice when appropriate
6.3 Reporting Violations
Violations may be reported by players, staff, or spectators through official channels. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with appropriate discretion.
6.4 Appeals
- Affected parties may file an appeal within 48 hours of a ruling
- Appeals must include relevant evidence or rationale for review
- Appeals will be reviewed by CLX administration
- Rulings after appeals are final
6.5 Required Software
Players may be required to install anti-cheat software on their computers for the duration of tournaments. Permitted third-party software includes: VOIP solutions (e.g., Discord), keyboard or equipment drivers, and software specifically installed by organizers to facilitate tournament play.
7. Final Authority
CLX Administration holds the final authority in interpreting and enforcing this Code of Conduct. All participants are expected to stay informed of updates and cooperate fully with enforcement measures. Decisions are made at CLX’s sole discretion in the best interest of competitive integrity and community safety.
